The festival’s keywords: experimental, alternative, creative, young, modern, fresh, international and movement inspired the concept development. It was the 25th Festival’s anniversary and the theme for 2009 was modern vs.tradition.. Concept: the theater becomes a magnetic power field so everything is pulled and attracted into the theater space. It composed by a group of common objects disposed in such way to create an idea of disintegration, flowing and being pulled into the theater’s door. It is a freeze moment, motion is created using a still image. This surrealistic image evokes an absurd and an experimental world. The daily objects are recognizable to reach the different audiences. The objects are a chair, a lamp, books, a travel bag, an umbrella, a blanket, high heel shoes; etc. a total of 25 objects one for each year of the festival existence’s. The objects were mainly recycled forming a combination of old and modern styles – tradition vs. modern. It was painted with one color to create a unique and homogenize shape creating the desirable movement, the dance evolution. The whole image is an appeal to the public; a calling for people through the intriguing appearance.
